Specialist Dr. İlkay Uzunca began his medical career in 1996–1997, working in the Emergency Department of Muş State Hospital. He then served at the Edirne Binevler Health Center between 1997 and 2000.
From 2000 to 2005, he completed his Neurology Residency at Trakya University Faculty of Medicine. Following this period, he worked as a Specialist Instructor at the same faculty from 2005 to 2007.
He continued his professional career at Edirne State Hospital between 2007 and 2010, and at Çerkezköy State Hospital between 2010 and 2012. From 2012 to 2025, he served at Edirne Sultan Murat I State Hospital.
As of 2025, he has been providing neurological care to his patients at his private practice, Özel İlkay Uzunca Neurology Clinic, located in Edirne.
